Softly feathered bob and face-framing design are some of the styles that move cinematically. Its flipped ends are airy and voluminous and the length is at the extent of Medium length range, which makes it perfect to wear it with open coats and dramatic makeup this fall-winter.
I prefer a round brush blow-dry and add a bit of a volumizing mousse such as Moroccanoil Root Boost, and then mist lightly with Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray to set the lift. A style like that would better suit the slight lived-in quality so I do not bother with the heavy hairspray.

Soft Balayage Bob with Tousled Waves
What is so beautiful about this Medium length bob is its very light balayage with caramel ribbon flow on a dark brunette palate that adds movement and luminosity without taking over the entire scene. The fussy hair waves are a bit out of control on purpose, which gives it that effect of having just stepped out of a glossy magazine. Throw a more custom suit jacket in plaid on it and it will be the quintessential Fall hair look that black women can count on from boardroom to brunch.
When it comes to care, I prefer to begin by putting on something to protect my hair against the heat such as Mizani Heat Screen, I curl using a 1 inch iron and rake my hair with my fingers to loosen the grip. A side-sectioned lob with flames of copper hue seems to be the best leaf-peeping hair color in Fall 2025. The melodramatic waves are full bodied, and the cool colour of the shade compliments just about all the undertones. Worn with a sleek leather jacket it is one part juicy as well as jaunty.
Keeping copper vibrant means treating it like jewelry—use sulfate-free shampoo (Redken Color Extend Magnetics is a favorite), cool Water rinses, and a color-depositing mask every couple of weeks.
The appeal of this look has me considering rooftop cocktails in October, and stylist Ursula Stephen has said that movement is key to her making bright colors appear wearable. The loose curl set here nails that balance.
It is definitely Trendy and suitable to the Medium length scale with which one can want to make a seasonal change without being too short.
Shoulder-Grazing Twist-Out with Auburn Tips
Specific curls hung loose into delicate spirals, brushing the shoulders, reddish ends that caught the autumn light–this style has a sense of warmth, and texture, and depth. The side section gives it some form and the general look is contemporary and classic.
I also curl set with Mielle Pomegranate & Honey Curl Defining Mousse, and when those curls are completely dry I only separate them to maintain frizz to a minimum. A light oil seal helps the auburn tips glow.
I would dress in somewhat a similar style to family fall events, yet without being too posh and demanding. According to stylist, Felicia Leatherwood, who described colors at the ends as a pop of jewelry to your curls, and she is right because it is less intense than a full dye.

Pin-Up Inspired Curly Bob
The glossy curls that are tightly curled and brought to one side form a retro-contemporary shape. It is kept dimensional with a darker base and caramel undertones and polished with the side swoop and the section that is tucked back. Perfect for eveningwear and transitional weather.
For styling, I use a curl cream (Camille Rose Curl Love Moisture Milk) and a small-barrel wand to define face-framing sections. A little light-hold hairspray maintains the swoop even though it does not compromise bounce.
And this is my choice of dressy fall occasions- chic, classic and so very figure flattering with statement earrings. “Polish is all in the details” as celebrity stylist Nai Vasha has oft repeated, and this is why this cut works.
It is a classic that can be worn by both Wedding guests and festive Winter 2024 crowds but is of Medium length.
